Come to the Table

mp3 Leadsheet

v.1
Come to the table and eat.
Come to the table and drink.
Come to the table and eat and drink the bread and the wine
Which reminds us of His sacrifice.

v.2
Come to the table and eat.
Come to the table and drink.
Come to the table and eat and drink, and taste of the life
That is there for those who believe.

(bridge)
Come unto Jesus, the paschal lamb.
The perfect sacrifice.
Jesus, who bears our wounds and by His stripes…
Heals us.

v.3
Come unto Jesus and eat.
Come unto Jesus and drink.
Come unto Jesus and eat and drink and He will give you
Life and health and peace.

  1. Hi, Is there any way to hear this song? Is it on an album or for sale anywhere? I would like to sing it in church.
    Thanks for any help.

  2. Hey Jim,
I actually found an old mp3 of “Come to the Table. A couple years ago I was experimenting on a Boss BR-8 digital recorder and threw a rough copy down. It should give you the basic idea, sorry about the weak guitar and vocal at points. Follow the leadsheet and you should be fine.

"I find Marc Heinrich’s music moving and his lyrics faithful to Scripture, sobered with the real world of suffering, and creative in expression. I am happy to say: Listen and learn and be drawn further up and further in to God’s presence."

"I love Further Up and Further In Music because I love Marc Heinrich. Marc is a man with a powerful gift for songwriting who loves Jesus and the local church. His lyrics are always thoughtful and theologically robust, driving us to the supremacy of Christ and the glory of the gospel."

"Is that dirge they're playing one of yours Heinrich? It's not too bad." (on hearing the worship team run Only Jesus)

"Marc is a very funny guy and a good friend. But neither of those reasons tell you why I appreciate his songs. Marc uses language and music in a creative way to express genuine struggles and joys in light of a sovereign, gracious Redeemer."
